Books I Read in 2021

Happy New Year!

Today I will talk about books I have read in 2021. I am very proud of myself, as I was able to read 20 books! I probably could've read more at the end of the year, but there was school and I sort of had a reading slump. Anywhos, let's get started!

1. To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before - Jenny Han

2. P.S. I Still Love You - Jenny Han

3. Always and Forever, Lara Jean - Jenny Han

At the beginning of the year, I read the To All The Boys I've Loved Before series by Jenny Han. I'm not one for rom-coms, but I fell in love with this series. It's adorable, and Laura Jean is cool. Plus, the movies are the best on-screen adaptions I have seen.🤩

4. Burning Maze - Rick Riordan

5. Tyrant's Tomb - Rick Riordan

6. The Tower of Nero - Rick Riordan

I then read the last three books in The Trials of Apollo series by Rick Riordan. I read the first two in 2020 before everything shut down. I will say that before this series, I never liked Apollo that much. But after this series, I enjoyed his character a lot more. I loved how it ended, and Rick is just amazing as an author. *chefs kiss*

7. Blended - Sharon M. Draper

8. Stormrunner - J. C. Cervantes

Quick disclaimer: I never actually finished this one, but I only had 10 chapters left. It was just not my thing, so I abandoned it. Sometimes books aren't for you. 🤷🏼‍♀️

9. Hobbit - J. R. R. Tolkien

10. Freak the Mighty - Rodman Philbrick

These two I read for school, but they still count. When I read The Hobbit, I actually read it for the second time, unfortunately. I know it's a classic but it's a no from me. Sorry.

Freak the Mighty was pretty good. The ending was so unexpected and sad, but I still loved it.

11. Valkyrie - Kate O'Hearn

I read Valkyrie while we were driving to Utah, and it was awesome! Even Rick Riordan said "Much to love", so you know it's good. Can't wait to continue the series!

12. Percy Jackson's Greek Gods - Rick Riordan

13. Percy Jackson's Greek Heroes - Rick Riordan

History books would be much more interesting if they were narrated by Percy Jackson.

End of story.

14. They Both Die At The End - Adam Silvera

This was beautifully heartbreaking. There is some news about a TV show coming to HBO Max soon...👀

15. One Of Us Is Lying - Kate McManus

The twist was so good. Predictable, but still really awesome. I love all of the complexities, and I adore books with multiple POVs. The TV adaption is also really good. I got the sequel for Christmas, so I'm looking forward to reading that!

16. Greenglass House - Kate Milford

17. The Outsiders - S. E. Hinton

18. Cursed Carnival and Other Calamites - Rick Riordan

This is actually a collection of stories from Rick Riordan Prsents series. I loved reading all of the short stories and getting a taste of the different authors and series.

19. Sword of Summer - Rick Riordan

Magnus Chase is the next series I'm going to start. After I finish all of my other books...

20. I'd Tell You I Love You, But Then I'd Have to Kill You - Ally Carter

The book that I am currently reading to start off the new year is Daughter of The Deep by Rick Riordan. In case you couldn't tell, I'm a big fan of Rick Riordan.

That's it! One week left of winter break, so I won't really get a chance for posting. Hope you all had a great New Years!

Have a lovely day!
